Delete in the app

If you still have Football Fuss installed, the quickest method is Settings → Account → Delete my data.

After you confirm the request, Football Fuss deletes the account-linked data held in its active systems and clears the corresponding local favourites and notification state from that installation. If the deletion request cannot reach the server, the app reports an error so you can try again rather than leaving the account only partly deleted.

Request deletion without the app

You do not need to reinstall Football Fuss. Email support@sportsfuss.com with the subject Football Fuss account deletion request.

Where possible, send the request from the email address used for your Football Fuss account. If that is not possible, include enough information for us to locate and verify the account. We may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request relates to your account before deleting identifiable account data.

Never send us your password.

What account deletion removes

A successful Football Fuss account deletion removes active account-linked information controlled by Football Fuss, including where applicable:

• the Football Fuss user/account record and account profile information;
• synced favourite club, followed competitions and saved matches;
• notification preferences and registered notification device tokens; and
• Football Fuss records used to prevent duplicate notification sends.

The server also attempts to delete the associated Firebase Authentication identity. The mobile deletion flow clears local favourites and related account and notification state on that installation.

Anonymous notification identities

You can enable Football Fuss notifications without creating a named account. Firebase may then create an anonymous identifier so Football Fuss can associate notification preferences and a device token with your device. While the app still has access to that identifier, Delete my data can remove the associated server data.

If the app has already been uninstalled, an anonymous identifier may not contain a name or email address that lets us reliably match it to an email request. We will explain what can and cannot be identified from the information provided.

Information separate from the account

Account deletion does not automatically erase every message sent separately to Football Fuss. Earlier product feedback may remain after its account link has been removed. Emails sent directly to support remain part of the support correspondence. Limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal obligations, dispute handling, fraud prevention or security.

If you also want a particular feedback or support message reviewed for deletion, say so in your request and provide enough information to identify it. Provider backups or operational logs may remain temporarily under the provider's retention cycle. Deleted account data must not be restored from them merely to recreate the account.

Advertising data and Advertising ID

The Android version of Football Fuss uses Google Mobile Ads. Advertising identifiers and data handled by Google Mobile Ads are not stored as part of your Football Fuss account record in Neon. Deleting that account therefore does not reset the Android Advertising ID or erase information held independently by Google for advertising purposes.

Where available, you can change Ad privacy choices in Football Fuss. Android also provides device controls for resetting or deleting the Advertising ID.

How long deletion takes

Authenticated in-app deletion is designed to remove Football Fuss account-linked data from the active database as part of the successful request. Email requests are handled as soon as reasonably possible. For an applicable UK data-protection rights request, we respond without undue delay and normally within one calendar month, subject to a lawful extension or exception. If information must be retained, we explain what and why.

Paid subscriptions

If you have a paid Football Fuss subscription, deleting your account does not necessarily cancel billing managed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Account deletion is not blocked on subscription cancellation. Manage or cancel an active subscription through the relevant app store if you do not want future renewals.
